God is great I just got in a another conversation with a friend about support and being a begger…What happens the first thing I read on my computer is this story….GOD IS AWESOME. So I wanted to share with you all this story…
Ken Harley’s Wallet…A Jesus Story:
About 5 years ago I went to a conference in Kansas City, Missouri USA with a very famous lady speaker.
I was sitting in the front row with my mother and aunt and uncle.
The lady had me stand up and she started putting her finger on my fat stomach and moving it around in a circle.
She was talking to me about how God had a plan for my life and I needed to step into HIS PLAN.
She then asked me for my wallet. I was nervous but I gave it to her. She then threw my wallet high up into the air and it landed in the middle of the church.
I was shocked and I wondered if I would get it back.
I got it back…
These days as I am starting the Mongkok Friends of China Outreach…I have started thinking about this lady’s exhortation to me…
I have started thinking about God’s exhortation to me.
You see…Friends of China has been able to do a few charity projects in China and Hong Kong in the last 2 years and although small…we have done them to try to help people– but there is so much more to be done!!!
I have to admit that following the Lord and giving to people through Friends of China has become very important to me…
and most of the work we have done this year in China has come straight from my wallet…
The Lord brought this to my memory the other day and said that HE is blessing me because I have given my wallet to HIM…
I am starting to cry right now as I am writing…you see…JESUS has given me a wallet and a heart where personal wealth and glory do not mean anything to me…
What is important is that the work of Jesus goes out to people…
Please pray that my wallet expands and gets bigger so I can help more people…
In the last 3 weeks I have received requests to build 4 churches in China and my wallet is so small and empty.
Also—To start our outreach ministry in Mongkok, Hong Kong there is so much we can do but my wallet is so empty…
OK—Here is where I stand and this is what I believe…I will use whatever I have in my wallet to help people and make a difference in sharing Jesus…
Nothing else matters!
Please pray for us in Mongkok, Hong Kong and China.
There are so many young people hungry to follow Jesus and I rich to them–but my wallet is small…but God has control of it all…
